Lauren's journey in massage began with graduation from the Asheville School of Massage and Yoga in 2015, a pivotal moment following a transformative trip to Indonesia in the aftermath of a significant sports injury. Seeking to deepen her understanding of bodywork, she ventured back to Asia in 2018, immersing herself in studies across Thailand, Bali, Singapore, and Malaysia. Through her personal experiences with trauma, therapy, and travel, she maintains unwavering respect for the necessity of uninterrupted self-care. Her massage incorporates conscious breathwork, fluid, integrative strokes, broad compressions, myofascial tractioning, and assisted stretching. Lauren employs deliberately slow technique in order to find the most thoroughly effective points of engagement, while inviting clients to feel and breathe deeply into their experience. The body instinctively knows how to relax and heal itself, but we occasionally need a hand in accessing that intuition. To that end, Lauren deeply enjoys carving out a safe and productive space in the universe where her clients’ peace of mind and physical unwinding are not only encouraged, but truly of paramount importance.
