Do you wish that clients would receive SMS reminders regardless of whether you schedule them or they scheduled themselves?&nbsp;These two were the&nbsp;<strong>most requested features<\/strong>&nbsp;on our recent survey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We listened.&nbsp;You\u2019ll be happy to learn that we\u2019ve made some improvements to text messaging within Schedulista.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(1) Clients can now receive SMS reminders when service providers (e.g. you) schedule them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(2) Clients will now receive two SMS reminders \u2014 a regular reminder, and a last-minute reminder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Client opt-in<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There is a new field on the client record so that you can set whether individual clients receive SMS reminders. The default is to not receive SMS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full screenshot\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"615\" height=\"347\" src=\"https:\/\/www.schedulista.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/sms.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-288\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.schedulista.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/sms.png 615w, https:\/\/www.schedulista.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/sms-300x169.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 615px) 100vw, 615px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Note: it is important that you received express consent from the client before opting them in to receive SMS reminders.<\/em><strong><br><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SMS reminder + SMS last-minute reminder<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Clients will now receive a regular SMS reminder along with their standard email reminder. These will be sent at the same time, and will follow the same logic. Note: You can &nbsp;set your reminder policy on the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.schedulista.com\/settings\/communications\">Communications Settings<\/a>&nbsp;page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, clients will receive a \u201clast-minute\u201d SMS reminder either one, two or three hours before the appointment. &nbsp;The number of hours &nbsp;before the appointment that the client will receive the reminder can be customized per client.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Do you wish that you had more control over when SMS reminders were sent?
