Alesis QS7
The QS7 is undoubtedly a powerful and flexible synthesizer capable of creating rich sounds - both acoustic and electronic. There's 64 voices of polyphony and 16 parts multitimbrality and tons of memory and expand-ability! The QS7 uses digital additive/subtractive sample playback synthesis to create high quality stereo grand pianos, organs, strings, drums/percussion, brass, woodwinds, new and classic synth textures, General MIDI, and rhythmic/sonic loops.
Aries 300
ARP 2600
The second creation from ARP in 1971, the 2600 is more compact than its predecessor the 2500, and more streamlined to program. It is a semi modular analog synthesiser with each module internally connected. It features three oscillators, resonant filter, LFO (inc. sample & hold), ring mod, noise generator, built in speakers and a spring reverb. The main sound modules are internally wired for quick sound creation but patch cords can be plugged in to override internal signal routing to create more complex sounds. The attached 3620 controller keyboard improved on the older 3604P keyboard, adding two-voice polyphony, a built in LFO for adding expressive vibrato to the 2600 oscillators, portamento, envelope re trigger, pitch bend, octave transpose, and other features that greatly expanded the sound palette of the 2600.
Buchla 200/200e System
This system features original Buchla 200 series modules from the 1970’s, Buchla 200e modules from the 2000's and a few Buchla format clones from Verbos and Sputnik. Buchla’s original modular electronic music system was the result of a San Francisco Tape Music Center commission by composers Ramon Sender and Morton Subotnick in 1963. Subotnick envisioned a voltage-controlled instrument that would allow musicians and composers to create sounds suited to their own specifications, and Buchla designed a modular system that made it possible. The 100 modular series was installed at the San Francisco Tape Music Center in 1965 and later modules were offered through the musical instruments division of CBS. The Buchla 200 series replaced the previous model in 1970 and represented a significant advance in its design. Almost every parameter can be controlled from an external control voltage. Throughout the 70s, Buchla went on to experiment with digital designs and computer controlled systems and in 2004 he returned to modular design with the hybrid 200e system, which uses digital microprocessors.

The Buchla Break Out Box lives with this system and offers a link to the non-Buchla world.

Dierstein Ondes Musicales
The Dierstein Ondes Musicales is a contemporary reproduction of the final Concert model of Maurice Martenot's instrument introduced in 1928, the ondes Martenot, or Martenot waves. Martenot's instrument is the repertory champ of electronic musical instruments, appearing in some one thousand compositions, film scores, and incidental music with diverse instrumental orchestrations in various stylistic genres.

The original ondes Martenot used vacuum tube technology inspired by Leon Theremin's namesake instrument (known as the Aetherphone at the time), which Maurice Martenot heard at concerts in Paris during the late 'twenties. Two supersonic oscillators create an audible difference tone when the controls of the ondes Martenot (or theremin) are played. The difference between these two oscillator frequencies- one fixed, the other moveable- creates the pitch we hear. This provides the ability to produce pitches continuously from lowest to highest, and provides both instruments with their characteristic gliding pitch, or portamento idiomatic expression. Both the theremin and ondes Martenot are monophonic.

Such instruments were said to create music "from the ether," due to their otherworldly sounds. The luminiferous ether was a suppositional substance contrived by 19th century physicists to account for how light necessarily must pass through the emptiness of space, by analogy with sound-which actually does require a material elastic medium such as air. Physicists later learned that light acts both as a wave (like sound), and as a particle (unlike sound). Nevertheless, outer space associations with both instruments-as well as electronic musical instruments in general, persist to this day!

Jean-Loup Dierstein services and restores instruments for Jean-Michel Jarre, Vangelis, and Daft Punk, and for studios throughout France. After two years in development, Dierstein presented his first production ondes Musicales to Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead in 2011. Dierstein's ondes Musicales is a faithful reproduction of Martenot's Concert (transistor) model of some 23 years earlier. Pitch is controlled either by keyboard, or by the ruban (moveable wire) just below the keyboard, which allows continuous changes of pitch. Sound is articulated by depressing a rectangular button with the left hand, and it is this separation of pitch selection and pitch articulation that provides the characteristic "un-keyboard-like" expression. Witness how string and wind instruments function with corresponding divisions of labor. Production of the three different speakers used by the ondes Martenot, and now Dierstein's latter day version, the ondes Musicales are in process.

EMS VCS3 Workstation
EMS VCS3 Workstation features a VCS3 MkI, VCS3 MkII, EMS Pitch to Voltage Converter, Fixed Filter Bank, Random Voltage Generator.

Conceived as an affordable flexible semi-modular synthesizer in miniature, the VCS3 (Voltage Controlled Studio, version #3) was the first portable synthesiser offered on the open market, beating the Minimoog by a year. Like the VCS1, the VCS3 could process external sounds as well as generate them internally. Designer Zinovieff, a geologist, applied a scientist's analytical bent to his interest in electronic music. The ‘Pin Panel Matrix’ for patching is one of the VCS3’s most distinctive features. Tristram Cary designed the instrument in the new ‘L-shape’, so that the machine could be used at a desk as a teaching machine, and for demonstrations, as well as composition. There was no keyboard, but there was a joystick, adapted from the radio-control mechanism of a model aircraft. It also included an integral amplifier, stereo speakers, and stereo inputs.

The principal difference between the Mk I and the later issue Mk II was that the Mk I allowed individual patching of each VCO waveform on the matrix board, whereas the Mk II dispensed with this and allowed for more input/output routings.

GRP A4
The GRP A8 is one of the physically largest synthesisers ever made. Only 23 intsruments were produced - 22 for the production line and one designer Roman Groppioni Paolo made for his own personal use. The GRP A8 is completely pre-wired, with a huge number of switches and knobs to change the many parameters available at every stage of the signal flow. It consists of two completely identical (upper and lower)synthesizer systems It can be used as a mono (6 VCOs), duo (2x3 VCOs) or poly (2x3 VCOs) synth. The difference between the two-part DUAL and POLY modes is that in the first case a common MIDI channel controls both sounds at the same time. In POLY, on the other hand, two separate MIDI channels can be selected. Its LFOs have an enormous frequency range from low frequency to 1700 Hertz.

The GRP A8 offers:
6x VCOs
6x sub-oscillators
1x noise (for audio and modulation)
2x ring modulator
2x 24dB lowpass filters
2x 12dB multimode filters

1939 Hammond Novachord
The Novachord is a polyphonic electronic organ and was Hammonds first electronic tube based instrument. It uses 163 vacuum tubes to control and generate sound and has a seventy two note keyboard with a simple pressure sensitive system that allowed control over the attack and timbre of the note. The sound was produced by a series of 12 oscillators that gave a six octave range using a frequency division technique - the Novachord was one of the first electronic instruments to use this technique which later became standard in electronic keyboard instruments. A total of 1096 models were built and this particular instrument is one of three known to be still functional.
Moog System 55
Moog System 55 + 953 Duophonic Keyboard.

The mightiest of all analog modular synthesisers, Moog Music's largest standard configuration (System 35 and Model 15 are smaller systems) provides late 'sixties & early 'seventies modules identical to those designed by Bob Moog and his early engineering team. The Moog Modular System 55 is not a "restoration" or "new old stock." It's a part-for-part brand new production of a Moog System 55. It's an original.

The System 55 is a subtractive synthesiser, one that processes complex pulse, sawtooth, triangle, and noise waveforms using a complement of filters. Low pass, high pass, band pass, band reject, and fixed filter bank (for creating formants) functions are provided. The System 55 is an analog synthesizer that processes continuously variable electronic signals, providing immediate and smooth responses to all user-programming decisions.

Analogue Solutions Fusebox
Fusebox is a standalone analogue monosynth with the flexibility of a suitcase modular. It features 3 voltage controlled oscillators, a state variable filter, 2 envelope generators, 2 low frequency oscillators, a suboctave and noise generator, and an arpeggiator. It has an extensive range of CV inputs and outputs that allow for cross-patching within itself to create an infinite range of sounds, or to integrate with other CV connectable synthesisers. Fusebox can integrate with the outside world via it’s built in MIDI to CV converter.
Analogue Solutions Impulse Command
From Analogue Solutions:

"True stereo analogue synth / sonic realiser. Perfect for melodic and percussion loops. Very easy (and fun!) to create modular style analogue loops. It’s a complete sound track all by itself!

It’s wrong to call it a synthesizer (in fact a new word needs to be invented) because then you get preconceived ideas about what it does. It’s a whole lot more than a synth. It’s also part drum synth, part pattern generator, part modular loop producer.

All its unique features plus the 2 independent LPFs give this machine the ability to produce stereo loops that sound like multiple synths playing at once.

Special features:

Analogue synth: analogue audio and modulation circuits

Stereo / dual filters

This synth can sound like multiple synths all at once

Stereo digital effects (reverb and delay)

16 step analogue sequencer

16 step MIDI Note sequencer

Dynamic internal patch system

ReOrder! feature to create new melodies from the sequencer

Dynamic VCO mix levels

Semi-modular

High quality build

Impulse Command is a compact true analogue synth in a neat, smart, package. When we say ‘real analogue’ we mean that the entire audio path (aside from the post effects of course!) and all modulation are entirely analogue, using circuits based on awesome sounding vintage 1970s designs."

ASM Hydrasynth
The HYDRASYNTH keyboard is both a sound designers dream synth as well as a performing musicians ideal. The sound engine is designed for maximum flexibility. At the same time, we designed the user interface in a way to allow you to edit the patch quickly with a minimal amount of paging and many workflow shortcuts.

Utilizing an advanced wavetable synthesis engine, 3 Oscillators, dual Wave Mutators and 2 filters that can be configured in series or parallel, the tone generating capabilities are unmatched.

As for the performance capabilities, The HYDRASYNTH keyboard has our proprietary Polytouch™ keybed that offers polyphonic aftertouch over each note, giving you the type of expressive control found only in certain vintage synths.

Add to this a 4 octave ribbon controller and ergonomically designed pitch and mod wheels and you have expression and control that is not equaled in any other hardware synthesizer on the market… Today or ever.

Møffenzeef [INTENSIFIES]
"Moffenzeef's [INTENSIFIES] does not care about you: it just cares about making a raucous mess of devastating sound. Functioning both as a powerfully destructive analog sample rate reducer/distortion and a light-controlled noise/drone synth, [INTENSIFIES] is not for the faint of heart.

Oh yeah, and it's loud—like 12Vpp loud—so get ready to be blown straight out of your socks.

Turn any sound into a howling, screaming, aliasing hot mess of fuzz and crackle. Revel in the fact that this thing has no footswitches (that's right, it's not really a pedal). If you love chaos, things are about to get intense."
Møffenzeef M.S.G II
The “MSG” (Mini Sound Generator) II is packed with 8 rich algorithms. This little noise box can make a wide palette of sounds! MSG II can do: FM synthesis, AM synthesis, Phase distortion synthesis, hard sync, wavetable synthesis, detuned triangle waves, detuned sawtooth waves and our famous byte-beat inspired glitch algorithm.
Moffenzeef Stargazer
Dual wavetable oscillator with ninety arbitrary waveforms, two resonant lowpass filters, three wavetable LFØ's, sample rate reduction, bit rate reduction, amplitude modulation, and CMØS distortion. The expression pedal input can be used to control the speed of all three LFØs at the same time, which frees up your hands to control other aspects of the drone.
Moog Etherwave Theremin
The Plus of the Moog Etherwave Theremin extends this instrument into the realm of functioning as a CV/Gate controller. The Etherwave Plus has the same sound engine of an Etherwave model, but provides separate control signal (CV) outputs for each antenna, and Gate (Trigger) output as well. The Etherwave Plus allows CV/Gate keyboards and/or analog voltage-controlled modules to function under theremin control.

The theremin was developed by the Russian Lev Termen in 1919, whose name was Gallicized to Leon Theremin during his successful concerts in France in the late 'twenties. The instrument is played without being touched, by moving one’s hands into electromagnetic fields surrounding pitch and loudness antennae. The theremin enjoyed a vogue in film scores during the 'forties and 'fifties, although it appears in more-recent underscores.

The earliest virtuoso performers on the instrument were female, a tradition that continues. Clara Rockmore, Lucy Bigelow Rosen, Pamelia Kurstin (theremin walking bass not to be missed), Carolina Eyck, Dorit Chrysler, and Katica Illényi are exemplary of this tradition.

Moog Voyager "Old School”
The Old School model may look, at first glance, like an updated version of the venerable Minimoog Model D. Its mixer section reveals the same five audio sources: 3 oscillators, noise, and an External Input. But, if the Old School is a descendant of the Minimoog, it is a Minimoog on steroids: dual high pass & low pass filters with band pass capabilities; stereo VCAs; complete ADSR envelope generators; two modulation busses routing an augmented number of controllers to an increased number of destinations; and a rear panel with 11 control inputs, effects loop insert point, 3 Gate inputs, and stereo audio outputs. That's not your grandfather's Minimoog!

The Voyager Old School provides not only a rich Moog multi-oscillator sound, but it is also an instrument that bridges the gap between hard-wired and modular systems, given its Input/Output connections. Its 44 note keyboard is sufficiently long that the Old School might perform as a keyboard controller for a Moog 900 Series Modular System, particularly given the wealth of inputs and outputs on the Voyager. And, unlike the original Moog Modular System Keyboard Controllers, it would do so with keyboard velocity and force (incorrectly called "pressure") sensitivity. Not just sound but sensitivity.

Triadex Muse
This tabletop digital system developed in 1972 by MIT professors Marvin Minsky and Edward Fredkin was more an experiment in deterministic sound generation and artificial intelligence than a musical instrument. It directly outputs lengthy repeatable sequences of pitched tones when programmed.

Eight 40-position slide pots act in lieu of a keyboard to alter binary logic circuits, and this digital signal is passed through a digital to analog (DA) convertor to create a sequence of audible tones. Some claim the Muse is producing "random" sequences, but those sequences are totally determined by Interval, Theme, and selected note name settings of the sliders. There are Volume, Tempo, Pitch, and Fine Pitch controls as well.

Muse by Triadex found acceptance by various avant-garde musicians, particularly in Philadelphia, although evidence of extant musical works is scant. Maryanne Amacher composed "eartone" music with the Muse during her tenure at the MIT Center for Advanced Visual Studies.

Waldorf Iridium
After introducing Iridium as a high-class synthesizer in a compact desktop form factor Waldorf take the concept further forward with the Iridium Keyboard. It’s boosting an all-new 49-key FATAR TP/8SK semi-weighted polyphonic aftertouch pressure-providing keyboard as the first such implementation of that keyboard in the world, with an expanded front panel proffering one-knob-per-function control as a workflow-raising result of this high-class synthesizer’s palpable physical makeover, also allowing for six freely-programmable Macro buttons with which users can define functions from a wide range of features for additional performance control.

Tremendous tonal changes flow freely when playing the Iridium Keyboard live since polyphonic aftertouch is transmitted individually for each note played. Performers can conceivably play and hold down any number of keys simultaneously, subsequently moving each finger individually. In other words, individual keys are affected by the pressure applied by each finger, thereby creating, for instance, individual data streams for modulation purposes, whereas with monophonic (Channel) aftertouch all notes played will respond in the same way. With a powerful Mod Matrix offering 40 independent modulation assignments, each with individual settings for Source, Amount, and Destination, Iridium Keyboard comes with powerful modulation options — just like the Iridium desktop synthesizer namesake. Notably, Iridium Keyboard is also capable of processing MPE (MIDI Polyphonic Expression) data, duly making multiple parameters of different notes separately controllable to effectively enable it to behave more like an acoustic instrument in terms of spontaneous, polyphonic sound control.

BOSS Dimension C DC-2W pedal
From BOSS: "The vintage Dimension effect is famous for its innovative 3D spatial processing that just makes everything sound a little better. It’s often mistakenly called a chorus effect, but it’s actually not. Though time-based like a chorus, the Dimension’s circuit is quite unique and sophisticated, subtly enhancing the width and depth of the source audio without any prominent modulated movement. The resulting sound is more open and natural, gently enriching any instrument or mix without making it sound overly processed."

Future Sounds System TG1 The Gristleizer
The TG1 Gristleizer module brings together the functionality of the Gristleizer range behind one single panel. Normalled connections between the modules allows for simplified patching and instantaneous use. This workflow recalls the original Gristleizer, where audio was fed either into the Filter or VCA sections, both of which being modulated by the LFO. In the TG1, the Master Output from the Pre-Amplifier is normalled the Input of the Filter. The Output of the Filter is then normalled to the Input of the Modulator, extending the functionality of the original Gristleizer where the Filter and VCA functionality was switched between. The Filter and Modulator sections are controlled by the Fold output of the Generator section, allowing for complex modulation effects to be easily set up.

Koma Field Kit
Landscape HC-TT
The HC-TT is a compact cassette manipulation device which allows you to manually play a cassette with your hands. The resulting sound can be incredibly similar to scratching a vinyl record. Sound will only be produced while your hands are turning either of the large playback knobs. By turning these knobs you are directly rotating the cassette spindles which moves the tape across the internal tape head. The knobs “play” a regular cassette forwards and backwards. There is no motor in this device, so direction and speed is left to the performer.
Landscape Stereo Field
STEREO FIELD is one instrument with three uses. It is simultaneously a stereo/quad modular touch plate feedback atonal synthesizer, a stereo/quad audio processor and a pressure sensitive chaotic CV "controller". All three uses are available separately as well as simultaneously and in conversation with each other. The Stereo Field allows its user to manipulate and patch two analog stereo preamp circuits via touch plates. By utilizing skin conductivity as new paths for current to follow you are creating "new circuits" and new sounds in relation to where your fingers are patching.

Roland TR-707
(circuit bent) (1984) Sample-based drum machine featuring 15 x 12-bit sounds able to be programmed via the onboard sequencer. This machine was widely used by Acid House producers in the early 90’s. This particular machine has been modified to receive external control signals, which makes for exciting and unexpected modulations to standard beat programming. http://www.vintagesynth.com/roland/707.php
Roland TR-808

Soma Labs PULSAR-23
"PULSAR-23 is an organismic drum machine designed by Vlad Kreimer. It has a semi-modular structure and consists of 23 independent modules. PULSAR can be used for the synthesis of percussion instruments and rhythms, bass and melodic lines, effects and sound landscapes, as well as a source of control voltage and powerful analog FX processor.
The PULSAR functions in three different modes: stand-alone, MIDI control and CV control. Moreover, all the above features and control modes can work simultaneously in any proportion or combination.
Additionally, PULSAR offers live circuit bending capabilities and the use of the artist’s body conductivity to create patches and cross modulations. PULSAR continues the line of organismic synthesizers begun by LYRA-8, but now in the area of percussion instruments."

Vermona DRM 1 MkIII
Direct from Vermona -

If you are searching for the perfect emulation of analogue drum classics, we unfortunately have to disappoint you. Our DRM1 MKIII is anything but a clone. It is rather on its way to become a classic itself after being in production for 14 years!

If you are looking for a versatile sound engine for electronic drums with distinctive character and authority, this will be the end of your search!

The DRM1 MKIII offers eight perfectly matched analogue drum- and percussion-instruments with extraordinary versatility, paired with highest clarity.

The DRM1 MKIII’s eight instruments generate individual sounds and therefore offer different sound controls. We have carefully scaled these with generous ranges allowing you to create unusual sounds, e.g. from a dedicated snare channel. You decide whether your bass drum sounds short and tight or loooong and voluminous.

With a total of 73 controls, the handling of this drum-synthesizer is unmistakably intuitive.

MIDI or CV/Gate?
The sounds of the DRM1 MKIII can be triggered by MIDI. Optionally, we can fit any new ordered unit with analogue gate inputs. This allows easy operation of the DRM1 MKIII from an analogue sequencer or a modular system.

Doepfer Dark Time Sequencer
Doepfer's Dark Time is a 2 x 8 step sequencer, digital in nature but with an approachable and familiar analogue-style interface. Designed to generate and manipulate short musical loops, the Dark Time is fitted with MIDI, USB and CV/Gate connections. It could therefore be an ideal tool to energise any synth, whether it's software-based, a keyboard with MIDI, or a modular laden with patch cables. (Sound On Sound)

KOMA Komplex Sequencer
From Koma Elektronik:
"Our step sequencer lets you construct complex musical patterns, via both MIDI and CV/Gate. Built around four full-featured 16-step sequencers in a compact and light enclosure, the Komplex Sequencer is a powerful tool both live and in the studio. All features have their own dedicated controls; no screens or submenus, and all features have their own dedicated in- and outputs on the large 87-point patch bay. By patching both internal and external CV sources through the patch bay of the Komplex, you can control any parameter of the sequencer immediately and “sequence the sequence.” Controls include Speed, Sequence Length, Gate Length, Play Mode, Glide, Division, Transpose, Repeat, Sequence Start Point and Skip. Additionally, the sequencer can vary output range and also has a quantizer on board operable in different scales.

And not only is the sequencer compatible with almost any synthesizer with CV/Gate, MIDI note, velocity and CC information can also transmitted by any of the four sequencers. Lastly a seven bank CV Recorder is on board and can output up to 5 banks at once!"

Soma Labs ORNAMENT-8
"ORNAMENT-8 is an organismic sequencer, or in a broader sense, a synthesizer of behaviour. A unique feature of ORNAMENT is its fully horizontal modular structure that consists of eight equal and independent cells which are special delay lines. It’s in fact an analog computer with a temporal dimension, the behaviour of which is determined by patching and adjusting the temporal properties of each cell involved in the generation of the behaviour."
