Personal Bio: I’m a retired U.S. Air Force Navigator and Electronic Warfare Officer/Tactical Coordinator with just over elven and a half years of service. In my spare time when I’m not strength training, I love spending time with my wife and 2-year-old daughter Emma, who loves going to the zoo to see the Lemurs! I go fishing when I can and I have a wonderful time making scale model aircrafts. Especially WWII and Vietnam era planes. I am now expanding my hobby to include model wood ships. It keeps me busy!

I have been a personal trainer for over 20 years. I firmly believe that everyone can benefit from movement and exercise. Having been a collegiate athlete, and then an injured athlete, I know that exercise can be amazing, scary and make life better when done correctly. Let me help you move better and feel better!
When I’m not helping people reach their goals, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three boys.

Bio: My passion for fitness came into my life after I had been struggling with my physical and mental health. After struggling with anxiety and finding out I was pre-diabetic, I decided it was time for a lifestyle change. After alternating between unhealthy habits to extreme healthy habits and restrictions, I have now found balance and promote a healthy and maintainable lifestyle. I have been training at the Y for 6 years and have experience working with all different ages, backgrounds, and goals. From prepping an 8-year-old for basketball season, to the single mom of 4 kids needing personal time, to the 74-year-old trying to rehab a knee; everyone can benefit from weight training and movement. I want my clients to learn how to prioritize their own health and find a way to make it a habit in their daily schedule. It's important for my clients to feel comfortable in the wellness center and enjoy coming to the Y no matter where they are in their own fitness journey. Weight training can not only improve your physical health, but your mental health as well. It's crucial to me that my clients experience both benefits and find a place in their life for their own health and wellness.

My fitness journey started in 2018 when I was 20 years old and in college. I was involved in high school sports but had always been overweight and constantly struggled to try and lose weight. When I started college, I ended up gaining over 50lbs which led me to my highest weight of 250lbs, mainly due to not being active and living an unhealthy lifestyle. I was struggling with depression and anxiety and was on a downward spiral I felt I had no control over. It took me realizing that I didn’t want to spend the rest of my life being unhappy and hating the person I saw in the mirror to take control of my life and make the changes that needed to happen. Over the last 2.5 years, I have managed to lose 85lbs through weight-training, nutrition, a whole lot of determination, and patience, and have fallen in love with everything fitness. It has been as much a physical journey as it has been a mental health journey. My personal experience sparked my passion to help others who may be struggling with things similar to what I have struggled with and guide them to living a happier and healthier lifestyle.

I'm a college student with a passion for exercise. I started out at the YMCA as a member attending group fitness classes with my dad. That slowly changed my perspective on exercise, it became a place I went for not only my physical health, but also my mental health. After a few years of focusing on group fitness, I took my first steps into the weight room. I was automatically hooked. Learning to lift has taught me so many things about myself and given me some of the most important friendships in my life. Lifting isn't all about physical strength, but mental fortitude as well. I love to challenge myself and have done so by training and participating in multiple lifting competitions. I also became a group fitness instructor and have been teaching Total Body Conditioning for over a year. Recently, I took the step to become a wellness coach so I can share my passion of fitness with more people. Fitness is for everyone, and it comes in many forms. All it takes is to find something that you enjoy

I am a newly Certified Personal Trainer with an overall focus on strength training and healthy weight loss and management.

Strength Training and exercise have a huge impact on my life. I am passionate about sharing positive impacts that regular exercise can have on not only physical health, but also mental health as well. As a former college football player, I have spent much time in the weight room, leading to my passion for it. I am equipped with a Bachelor in Science in Health and Fitness Studies with a minor in Coaching Studies from Nebraska Wesleyan University. I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. My main focus in the fitness industry has been coaching athletes, but I am excited to broaden my horizons and train different populations. I am sure I can bring not only excitement and passion to your workouts, but also consistent results!
