My name is Peter Vu and I am a Veteran and Certified Personal Trainer. Fitness has been a part of my life for over 20 years. Growing up I played basketball and Football, and when I could no longer compete at the highest, I joined the military and found my passion of bodybuilding and powerlifting. I keep my competitive drive going by competing and coaching athletes in their strength training. I am excited to use my knowledge and experience to help people towards their fitness and health goals. My training stems from teaching the fundamentals of weightlifting, coaching powerlifters for their competition, and aiding first responders to get ready for courses and recertifications. I am committed to getting clients beyond their goals and keeping that competitive drive going. As a client, you can expect workouts programmed specifically for your goals and needs, as well as the motivation and accountability to obtain them. Whether you goal is driven by competition, your health, or making sure you can keep up with your children, I will help you succeed.

Hi, I’m Yvette, a Trainer and Fascia Stretch Practitioner here at Chop Shop Fort Saskatchewan. Although I’ve been residing in the Fort for nearly three years, I was born and raised in Edmonton. My family includes two elderly dogs (they’re 17 and 11 years old) and a cat. My fitness journey commenced approximately nine years ago. I was overweight and feeling overwhelmed. However, I met a personal trainer who transformed my life. She helped me overcome significant gym anxiety and reshaped my self-perception. Today, I relish being active. I enjoy walking with my dogs, kayaking, yoga, and running (though my knees aren’t particularly enthusiastic about the last one). I obtained my Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) certification through NASM. I thrive on continuous learning and actively participate in as many in-person courses and workshops as possible. The more I acquire knowledge, the more equipped I become to assist and support you! I’m delighted to be working out of Chop Shop, fostering a sense of community and helping others discover the beauty and strength within themselves, regardless of their current fitness journey. If you encounter me around, please feel free to greet me. I genuinely enjoy meeting new people.
I’d like to give a whole spiel about how I always wanted to be a personal trainer, involved in athletics all through school, and deadlifting twice my bodyweight by the age of 3. Unfortunately, my journey began with a lot of barriers to health. For over 10 years, I struggled with anorexia, and 6 of those years were a compounding battle with substance use. At the age of 24, I decided I not only wanted more, but I DESERVED more than what I was allowing myself to have from this life. It was at this time I dedicated all that energy I was using towards self-destruction and channelled it into being better to my mind and body. Fitness and nutrition became those platforms to restore that relationship with myself. Instead of judging my body for all that it wasn’t, I worked towards discovering all the things it can do and pushing the limits of what it is capable of. Instead of restricting my body of calories, I leaned into all those anxious feelings (which still happen daily) and focused on fuelling myself to be able to do all the things I was asking my body to do. This journey has provided me with a desire to help with whatever goals you have - whether strength, performance, or aesthetics. I specialize in powerlifting and hypertrophy training - and am currently embarking on personal goals towards ultra-marathon running. I have experience helping people minimize body pain (shoulder, hip, and low back) through mobility and correcting exercises. Please don’t hesitate to connect with me with any questions or inquiries. I am happy to answer any questions and see if we are a good fit to work together as a team.

Roxana has pursued athletic excellence throughout her life and has served in the fitness industry since 1996. Over the years, she has fine-tuned her athletic abilities and continues to add to her extensive knowledge of fitness, nutrition and athletic performance. Growing up in her native Romania, she was a competitive swimmer from an early age. In high school, she discovered her love and affinity for track and field. Roxana went on to compete internationally during her university years in the hammer throw. Though her sights were set on the 2004 Olympic Games, a tragic car accident effectively ended her track and field career. After months of rehabilitation and physiotherapy, Roxana took her love of sport in a new direction, when she began athletic coaching and personal training in 2000. She went on to compete as a champion physique athlete for several years after that. She continues to deepen her knowledge of physical fitness, nutrition and hormonal/women's health. Roxana particularly enjoys working with athletes as a Strength and Conditioning Coach. She also deeply enjoys serving women of all ages as they seek to achieve their fitness goals.
