Fascia Release for Singers - ONLINE - $25
Fascia…what’s all the buzz about? What’s the big deal?? Well, actually, it IS a big deal! You could even say it is the MOST IMPORTANT tissue in your body!!

Fascia is a connective tissue that wraps and permeates every part of your body. Yes, EVERY part. From your skin, to your muscles, nerves, arteries, veins and even down to your bones, fascia is there. We wash and moisturize our skin, we exercise and stretch our muscles…but how do we care for our fascia?? WHY should we pay special attention to our fascia??

Regular fascial care benefits include increased blood circulation, reduction in muscle tension, increase in skin’s hydration and elasticity, reduction of inflammation, just to name a few! Have we got your attention yet?

Join us for a special workshop designed for VOCALISTS!! This workshop focuses specifically on musculature in the head and neck that is essential for singing. We will begin with an anatomical breakdown of key muscles and their function in singing/producing sound. Then we will teach techniques to support optimal health and function of each of those muscles.

We are so excited to share the benefits of self-myofascial release with you!! The best part? You are doing this for YOU!! You don’t need an appointment with anyone, you don’t need to go to an office somewhere to continue to receive these benefits. Simply take a few minutes out of your day to relax, restore and rejuvenate!!

What is needed for participation this workshop:

Gua sha scraper
Jade roller
Drinking water
Face oil or lotion

END the WAR with your voice! - $25
Feeling negative about or frustrated with your voice?

Learn how to do self inquiry using THE WORK by Byron Katie. I love THE WORK because it's a powerful set of questions that allow you to set yourself free from internal frustrations. The end of WAR begins inside ourselves, and we can start with our relationship with our voices.

All materials for THE WORK are free and available to everyone. This session will be a demonstration of The Work so you can practice on your own.
Science + Singing: Why do SOVT exercises work? - $29
This month we welcome Dr. Ingo Titze of the National Center for Voice and Speech to explain WHY the straw works! This is a very special opportunity to talk with the man who has pioneered much of the science behind SOVT (semi occluded vocal tract) exercises and straw phonation specifically.

The Science + Singing Series brings science to the singer through education on things like physiology, anatomy, and acoustics of the voice.

Each month is a special topic. Please visit the calendar for details:

$25 online, access to video for one week after each class!

Monday, June 26th, 7pm CT (Zoom)
Straw Phonation 101: If we all know about the straw, then why don't we use it? It might be because we don't know why it works, or if it even does! This class will teach you some of the science behind straw phonation, why we start with water bubbles, some of the most common mistakes, the definition of a strawpiphany, and then we will DO straw phonation LIVE. Bring a cup of water and a drinking straw, y'all. This will be a hands on workshop.

Monday, July 17th, 7pm CT (Zoom)
Breathing for Singing: Most of us are afraid to ask breathing questions in voice lessons. I know I am at least! "I'm a singer, I should know this already" is what my brain tells me. But the truth is, no one knows the whole story about breathing for singing. NOBODY. This session will be a chance to start demystifying breathing practices, ask vulnerable questions, and learn some basic physiology and anatomy. Everyone is welcome, singer or not. I want to create a safe space to start learning what our bodies are telling us about our ability to breathe well - for any endeavor.

Monday, August 21st, 7pm CT (Zoom)
The Power of HUMMING: We will explore the vocal and health benefits of plain old humming. The compendium book for this workshop is called THE HUMMING EFFECT, and regardless if you read it or not, this is a chance to take a deep dive into not only the power of humming for your voice practice, but also for your overall health. We literally cannot underestimate the power of humming practice.

Monday, September 18th, 7pm (Zoom)
Overtone Singing 101: Ever wondered what people mean when they say "overtone singing?" This class will use spectrogram analysis to see how musical sound is made up of overtones and how to use our own voices to manipulate those overtones. We will have everyone making "alien" sounds in no time! This class can also be considered a primer in the science of vocal acoustics. Bring your questions and curiosity because this class will be an acoustic PARTY.

Monday, October 23rd, 7pm (Zoom)
Fascia Release for Singers: Do you own a jade roller and gua sha tool? Learn how to use them to release fascia in your head and neck. This will help your skin tone and help release tissues in and around your larynx. Finally, a place to ask questions about the jade roller!

Cancellation available 48 hours in advance.
