Swedish Massage
One of the most commonly taught and well-known massage techniques, Swedish massage is a vigorous system of treatment designed to energize the body by stimulating circulation. Five basic strokes, all flowing toward the heart, are used to manipulate the soft tissues of the body. The disrobed client is covered by a sheet, with only the area being worked on exposed. Therapists use a combination of kneading, rolling, vibrational, percussive, and tapping movements, with the application of oil, to reduce friction on the skin. The many benefits of Swedish massage may include generalized relaxation, dissolution of scar tissue adhesions, and improved circulation, which may speed healing and reduce swelling from injury manipulation.

Neuromuscular Deep Tissue
This comprehensive program of soft-tissue balances the body's central nervous system with the musculoskeletal system. Based on neurological laws that explain how the central nervous system initiates
and maintains pain, the goal is to help relieve the pain and dysfunction by understanding and alleviating the underlying cause. Neuromuscular therapy can help individuals who experience distortion and biomechanical dysfunction, which is often a symptom of a deeper problem. It is also used to locate and release spasms and hypercontraction in the tissue, eliminate trigger points that cause referred pain, rebuild the strength of injured tissues, assist venous and lymphatic flow, and restore postural alignment, proper biomechanics, and flexibility to the tissues.

Prenatal/Pregnancy Massage
Performed by a trained perinatal specialist, many methods of massage and somatic therapies are both effective and safe prenatally and during labor and postpartum periods of womens pregnancies. Prenatally, specific techniques can reduce pregnancy discomforts and concerns and enhance the physiological and emotional well-being of both mother and fetus. Skilled, appropriate touch facilitates labor, shortening labor times and easing pain and anxiety. In the postpartum period, specialized techniques rebalance structure, physiology, and emotions of the new mother and may help her to bond with and care for her infant. Specialized, advanced training in the anatomy, physiology, complications, precautions, and contraindications is highly recommended, and many practitioners require referrals from physicians prior to therapy.

The technique is highly relaxing and it is recommended that you take the rest of the day off after the massage just to relax your body and slowly ease it back into the real world. Also, for people with sensitive skin the oils may cause some reddening or excessive warming of the skin, but this can be relieved quickly and the benefits will be well worth it.

Ashiatsu Deep Feet

1 Hour Ashiatsu Deep Feet - $70
If you're in need of deep tissue work, but don’t enjoy the discomfort that comes with pointy elbows and thumbs, then Ashiatsu Deep Feet Bar Therapy® is the treatment for you! Gravity enables Ashiatsu therapists to deliver up to 3xdeeper pressure than with traditional hands on treatments. Utilizing body weight and the foot as a massage tool provides broad, consistent pressure that creates structural change throughout the body. As a result clients will enjoy the same extra range of movement and decrease in chronic tension relief without having to endure painful strokes.

Elongates Muscles and Detoxifies-
Many ashiatsu strokes help to elongate the spine. These movements dramatically stretch shortened muscles, which help in relieving pain and discomfort. These long fluid strokes also help flush the body’s lymphatic system, which releases metabolic waste at a very high rate. We recommend drinking plenty of water before and after a treatment to help with the detoxification process.

Frees Up Bundled Nerves-
Movements along the paraspinals and the lumbar region can relieve muscle spasms and open the intervertebral foramen (where spinal nerves pass through). It will give the nerves more space as well as increase circulation by bringing more freshly oxygenated blood to the area being treated.

Improves Posture and Decreases Pain-
After only a few treatments, ashiatsu barefoot massage has been known to improve posture and range of motion. It will significantly reduce or eliminate chronic muscle pain, and improve bodily functions, which will create a higher sense of balance and well being within the body. Typically, one treatment a week for upwards of six weeks will produce these kinds of results.

Reflexology

Foot Reflexology - $25
Foot Reflexology - This ancient practice follows acupressure points on the meridian (energy) lines along the foot. These points are linked to organs and other parts of the body, and when stimulated they can help ease pain and discomfort remotely. A quick "full body massage" can be given in only 30 minutes, or throw it in as an add-on during a full massage!

Cupping

Cupping - $25
Cupping - This technique helps the body detox by pulling up fresh blood supply to the surface of the skin. Silicone cups are squeezed and then placed on the skin, creating a vacuum. They are left to sit for a few minutes, allowing for the fresh blood supply to be pulled up. Once ready, the cups are moved along the area, breaking up tight fascia along the way. With the fresh blood comes toxins from within the muscles and fat tissue, and they are metabolized by the body in the form of a bruise. This mark can remain anywhere from 3 to 7 days, depending on your body and it's metabolism.
