Kevin is a graduate of Tustin High School, where he was an All-League player for the Tillers. After high school, he attended Saddleback College before discovering his true passion for coaching and developing young athletes. By the age of 20, Kevin was working full-time at the Baseball Academy, giving up to 70 private lessons per week, leading small-group hitting classes, running summer camps, and coaching the Academy’s development teams. At 25, he transitioned into the business world, where he went on to build a successful 20-year career as a mortgage professional. Kevin returned to coaching in 2017, leading his son’s teams in both recreational and Pony Select programs at Olive Pony. He later founded his own competitive travel program, Trinity Elite, where every player went on to make their high school varsity team—three of whom are now competing at the collegiate level. Throughout his coaching career, Kevin has mentored numerous athletes who have advanced through youth, high school, and collegiate baseball. In addition to coaching athletes across Southern California, Kevin has trained his three sons into elite competitors. His oldest, Blake, was the MVP of his high school team, earned First Team All-League honors, and currently plays Division II baseball at Hawaii Pacific University. His middle son, Luke, is an elite lacrosse player whose mental toughness and work ethic—first forged on the baseball field—have propelled him to success as a Trinity League athlete. His youngest, Zack, has played competitive travel baseball since age seven with top-tier programs and has competed in national tournaments across the country. Kevin specializes in hitting, fielding, catching, and pitching, with a coaching philosophy centered on building confidence, mastering fundamentals, developing a strong mental approach, improving speed and strength, and partnering with parents and players to establish long-term routines for success Coach Kevin offers one-on-one hitting lessons (Pitching and Fielding) at the rate of $65.00.
Mason Metcalfe is a former collegiate athlete with experience at both the junior college and NCAA Division II levels. A versatile player in high school, he earned a varsity roster spot as a sophomore, playing multiple positions and later excelling as a starting pitcher with a 2.68 ERA as a junior and a 2.71 ERA as a senior, while hitting .403 in his final season. He began his college career at Santa Barbara City College, where he redshirted his first year before becoming the starting third baseman. During the 2018–2019 season, he transitioned to the bullpen to support the team's playoff run after winning a conference title. He went on to post a 2.88 ERA in the 2019–2020 season as a full-time pitcher. Mason later transferred to Concordia University Irvine on an athletic scholarship, pitching for the Golden Eagles while earning a Master's Degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration. In addition to his playing career, Mason has coached at Nike Baseball Camps, prospect showcases, and with multiple scout and travel ball teams. His background gives him a deep understanding of player development and what college programs seek in recruits. He is passionate about helping athletes of all ages improve their skills, mindset, and overall approach to the game. Steven, began coaching private lessons in 2012 upon graduating from Northwood High.As an Irvine Native, Steven has a combined 5 years of coaching experience. Steven was a 3 year starting Varsity Pitcher while attending Northwood H.S., receiving accolades such as pitcher of the week, named to the ALL-Conference Team and all City Team. After being recruited by USF, ASU, UCLA, Dartmouth, UofA, and UCI, Steven sustained an injury his senior year which led him to his decision play for Saddleback College. Steven transferred to Georgetown College (KY) Varsity’s team where he continued to play 3 more years, collecting Academic All-Conference 1st Team every year. During his time at G’Town, he completed a Double Major in Psychology and Kinesiology receiving a top graduate award for his studies in Kinesiology. As he transitioned out of competitively playing he began coaching. This led to developing a deeper love for helping players advance in form and function, maintaining balance, and correcting functional movements to maintain player’s arm health. Andrew is a seasoned baseball coach with three years of experience at Lakewood High School, coaching at the Freshman, JV, and Varsity levels. With eight years of private baseball instruction, he excels in teaching all facets of the game, specializing in pitching, hitting, situational awareness, proper mechanics, and fitness regimens. Andrew's coaching has been instrumental in guiding athletes to successful high school, college, Minor League Baseball, and Major League Baseball careers. Andrew's playing career commenced at Lakewood High School, where he played on both JV and Varsity teams as a sophomore, followed by two more years on Varsity. Gaining interest in the White Sox and Giants organizations. His versatility spans various positions, including outfield, infield, and pitching, showcasing his prowess as a switch hitter with speed and a power arm. After graduating from Lakewood in 2009, Andrew continued his baseball journey at Cerritos College, where he honed his pitching skills. Transitioning seamlessly from player to coach, he embarked on a successful coaching career that reflects his deep understanding of the game and commitment to player development.
