Mason Metcalfe is a former collegiate athlete with experience at both the junior college and NCAA Division II levels. A versatile player in high school, he earned a varsity roster spot as a sophomore, playing multiple positions and later excelling as a starting pitcher with a 2.68 ERA as a junior and a 2.71 ERA as a senior, while hitting .403 in his final season. He began his college career at Santa Barbara City College, where he redshirted his first year before becoming the starting third baseman. During the 2018–2019 season, he transitioned to the bullpen to support the team's playoff run after winning a conference title. He went on to post a 2.88 ERA in the 2019–2020 season as a full-time pitcher. Mason later transferred to Concordia University Irvine on an athletic scholarship, pitching for the Golden Eagles while earning a Master's Degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration. In addition to his playing career, Mason has coached at Nike Baseball Camps, prospect showcases, and with multiple scout and travel ball teams. His background gives him a deep understanding of player development and what college programs seek in recruits. He is passionate about helping athletes of all ages improve their skills, mindset, and overall approach to the game. Coach Mason offers 30-minute one-on-one training sessions for Pitching, Hitting, Fielding, and Catching at the rate of $65.00
Andrew is a seasoned baseball coach with three years of experience at Lakewood High School, coaching at the Freshman, JV, and Varsity levels. With eight years of private baseball instruction, he excels in teaching all facets of the game, specializing in pitching, hitting, situational awareness, proper mechanics, and fitness regimens. Andrew's coaching has been instrumental in guiding athletes to successful high school, college, Minor League Baseball, and Major League Baseball careers. Andrew's playing career commenced at Lakewood High School, where he played on both JV and Varsity teams as a sophomore, followed by two more years on Varsity. Gaining interest in the White Sox and Giants organizations. His versatility spans various positions, including outfield, infield, and pitching, showcasing his prowess as a switch hitter with speed and a power arm. After graduating from Lakewood in 2009, Andrew continued his baseball journey at Cerritos College, where he honed his pitching skills. Transitioning seamlessly from player to coach, he embarked on a successful coaching career that reflects his deep understanding of the game and commitment to player development.
