Our founder, Tony Cox works with all ages and experience levels. He has experience from coaching and rehabilitating Olympic Level athletes to teaching small children how to swim. Coaching Philosophy: Quality over Quantity. Back Ground: Coach Tony began swimming competitively at the age of 6 in the San Fernando Valley area, swimming with area club teams such as CCAT, CLASS, Porter Valley, Canyons and Rattler. He graduated From Bishop Alemany Highschool with a swimming scholarship to Division 1 Auburn University where he was coached by Brett Hawk, Paul Yetter, Frank Bradley and the legendary PK. After 2 years, he transferred to Cal Berkeley where he was coached by Dave Durden, Greg Meehan and Yuri Sugiyama. During his time there, Cal achieved 2 National Championships, for which Coach Cox played an instrumental roll, setting 2 American Records. After graduating from Berkeley, Coach Cox swam competitively in Europe, coaching and rehabilitating Olympic level athletes. He was invited to coach the Ukiah Dolphins in 2017. Working with Age Group Swimmers, he had an opportunity to further develop his own coaching style based upon all his years of experience and benefit of the coaching he had received. During his time with Ukiah, every swimmer achieved new personal bests and the team grew from 17 to 70 swimmers. He gained more international experience when teaching Age Group Swimming and Physical Education at the British International School of Phuket. In Central and South America, he consulted for under privileged swim communities, helping them to develop their programs. Coach Cox returned to his Alma Mater pool at Alemany High School as Head Coach of Aquatic Sports in 2021, followed by the formation of TC Falcon Swim Club in 2023. He is excited to usher in a new era of swimming. One that teaches athletes how to achieve their highest level of athleticism in a balanced and nurturing environment.
