Savy Ho is the founder of The Barbershop since 2017 on Union Street, and had relocated to a new location on Lombard and Pierce Street on June 2023 with a Spa/bath house on its way (under construction until late 2024). She had trained at the Aveda Flagship Institute in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She’ve moved to San Francisco back in 2008 and never left. She had been in the salon and barbershop game for 20 years with a background in high end salons while elevating its concept into the art of barbering. She was a Cosmetology instructor while obtaining an MIS degree from SFSU. Along with salons, barbershops, education, tech sales, and luxury auto sales, she has what it takes to lead her team to be upmost successful and deliver the best grooming services and products.

Keenan Gaston is a master barber who was born and raised in San Francisco and the BIGGEST Niners fan ever. He is a One U.S. Air Force veteran (thank you for your service), had played college football in his younger days, and an avid boxer too. He was an educator at a barber college in SF. He is the man with the master plan that gives back to his community by volunteering twice a year to a non-profit organization: He cuts African American kids hair that have been adopted by White parents. He is also a BBQ master. His haircuts are always on point whether you’re Black, White, Yellow, Brown, Green, or Rainbow, but you can’t be a Cowboy’s fan. Along with all his greatness, he is a proud human dad and dogs dad to 2 adorable Boston Terriers named after his favorite 49yrs players: Red and Deebo.

Robert Chavez had moved to San Francisco since 2018 to escape the intolerant heat from New Mexico. He is a union worker at UPS, but could not let go of his craft of barbering so he joined our team part time to preserve his arts. He had been in the barbershop game for over 20 years. He is a master in old fashion straight edge razor shaves, and a good old newspaper boy’s haircut. That being said, he ties these skillsets with the modern style of barbering. He’ve dropped everything including his barbershop business to enjoy a cooler weather, scenic, sunny, but foggy San Francisco. He rides his bike everyday to work, and walks his two adorable West Highland Terriers all over our amazing parks and beaches in our beautiful city.

Huy Duong had been doing hair in Vietnam for many years and immigrated to San Francisco, California in 2013 to seek a better life and opportunity. He and his family had been a small business owner in the Marina/Cow Hollow District since 2016 (New Zen Spa nails salon on Union St.). He had worked with Asian and ethnic hair for over 15 years in salons and had served a loyal clientele, not only in men’s cuts, but women’s too. He is well versed with longer in addition to shorter hair. He’s a master in shears and now combining that with hair cutting machines such as clippers, trimmers, and shavers into developing flawless barbershop quality haircuts. Not to mentioned, he is an avid fitness enthusiast and a basketball hooper before/after work. He is a die hard Golden State Warriors fan. He can talk basketball all day but sometimes language is a barrier as he is an immigrant with the American dream in mind and willing to learn American slangs, customs, cultures, and your weekend plans. He is also a proud human dad to his adorable daughter who is 3 years old as of 2023.

Josue Jauregui is our new rising barber. He is an instagram and TikTok super star! He have recently graduated from Urban Barber College and is handpicked by the Barbershop's founder, Savy Ho. She was blown away from his tutorial videos and images on haircuts, fades, and designs through social media. For being such a young player, he had mastered the art of barbering fast thanks to his artistic talent that makes it easier to grasp this art: hair cutting. He is also giving back to the industry by creating content in education webinar. He is our newest addition to the dream team and will deliver the highest quality of barbering services while discussing about his love for motorcycles, cars, and designs for the Barbershop's merchandises, and our superb editorial video content for social media advertisement.

Soni Vilingia is an avid Rugby player and enthusiast from Auckland, New Zealand, partially raised in Brisbane, Australia, and have lived in the Philippines while he was on a Mormon missionary. He've moved to the East Bay and began his Barbering career in 2015. He trained at one of the best barber schools at Urban Barber College. His techniques are cutting edge and deliver the best haircuts, fades, taper, lineups, beard trims, designs, and straight razor shaves. whether you're looking for a business cut, soccer fades, or designs, Soni delivers them all in the upmost quality of his craft while talking about his Rugby's team, his Golden State's Warriors, or his dance moves.
