Studio Location: 1461 East 14th Avenue, Vancouver BC. A creative composer and improviser, Natasha draws influence from a wide canon of musicians, notably the music of Norma Winstone, Fred Hersch, and Wayne Shorter. Natasha’s original music combines her love and appreciation for the jazz tradition and the art of free improvised music. She is currently working on her first album set to be released in early 2018. Natasha D’Agostino is a Vancouver based vocalist, with an undergraduate degree in Jazz Voice from Capilano University. Throughout her time at Capilano University, she has participated in various ensembles, working with musicians such as Randy Brecker, David Braid, and Donny McCaslin. She has been involved in numerous collaborations with both students and faculty, allowing her to explore and develop her own music and arrangements. Music is a great means for building confidence, sharing ideas, creating, exploring, dreaming, and discovering. The process of working on the craft, through technique and development of sound is what excites Natasha most about teaching voice. Through study and practice, you can work together on developing the sound that is yours.
