Hi, I’m Jesa, Health & Wellness Director here at the Westview YMCA!
My fitness journey began over 20 years ago when I reluctantly signed up for personal training sessions. I didn’t expect much, but those sessions ended up transforming my body, my mindset, and ultimately, my career. I discovered the mental and emotional benefits of strength training, learned to listen to my body, and felt empowered in ways I never expected.
That experience led me to pursue a career in personal training, and over the years, my passion for helping others has only grown. While I no longer coach youth sports like I once did (go, baseball moms!), I still carry that same coach’s heart into every session, class, and conversation. I want people to feel seen for who they are, valued for what they bring, and supported in their pursuit of wellness on their terms.
As the Health & Wellness Director, I’m deeply committed to making sure each member at Westview feels welcomed, empowered, and capable of achieving goals they may have once thought were out of reach. Whether you’re just beginning your journey or pushing toward a new milestone, I’m here to help you believe in yourself every step of the way.
Because a life changed through wellness? That’s a life worth celebrating.

I Started in my journey in my early 40s, then struck with breast cancer when I was 47. I was blessed it was caught early. My husband became a personal trainer and I followed suit. We both decided we did not want to live our older years being on pharmaceutical and decided to take a healthy approach of weightlifting and cardio. I received my certification through NASM I am also a woman’s specialist and flexibility coach. I plan to do this into my elderly years so when I do retire full-time I wish to keep active and help others do the same. Stay active and eat healthy!

I started with fitness and nutrition in 2019. I am a certified kickboxing and yoga instructor and offer Yoga Therapy for PTSD using a form of yogic relaxation with guided meditation and visualization.
I am also a certified Transformation Specialist. That means I do not just tell people what exercise to do. I want to know the reason why they're on this journey and how we can focus on a true lifestyle change. I want to show people that healthy does not mean boring and whether you're just starting, or restarting, on the road to fitness, the first hurdle is your mindset. Since I don't look like a typical personal trainer, I feel like I would be a less scary option for beginners. Somebody they can feel comfortable with, and I can show them that they're not on this journey alone.

With over 20 years of experience in the health and wellness industry, I bring a deep passion for helping others live healthier, more fulfilling lives. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Psychology, as well as a Master of Science in Health Services Administration from Creighton University.
I truly care about my clients and take pride in supporting them wherever they are on their health journey. For me, living a healthy lifestyle goes beyond just running or lifting weights, it's about balance. That includes stretching, eating nutritious foods, and getting the restorative sleep your body needs.
I enjoy helping people discover what their bodies are capable of, whether they're young and active or recently diagnosed with chronic conditions like diabetes or heart disease. It takes motivation, determination, and consistency to succeed, and while the path isn't always easy, I believe every individual has the power to overcome challenges.
At the Y, we believe in strengthening community, and I love being part of a team that helps individuals grow stronger—physically, mentally, and socially.

I’m a certified personal trainer with a degree in Health & Human Performance from Bellevue University and over three years of experience helping clients achieve their fitness goals. As a former college football player, my approach to training is rooted in strength, conditioning, and injury prevention, principles I refined through several internships in strength and conditioning during my college years.
In addition to personal training, I’ve spent the last two years coaching high school football, where I work to help young athletes reach their full potential both on and off the field. Whether you're looking to build strength, improve athletic performance, or just lead a healthier lifestyle, I’m here to help you every step of the way.
Outside of training, I enjoy watching sports, playing golf, and going on walks with my black lab. My goal is to make fitness enjoyable, sustainable, and tailored to your unique needs.

Not only do I bring academic knowledge but also athletic experience. Currently, I also train young athletes ages 10-14 with a physical therapist in Blair and Fort Calhoun. There, we focus on perfecting form and technique to reduce injury risk and maximize strength gains.
